Meghalaya takes a significant stride in promoting organic agriculture and empowering its farming community at the 1st Northeast India Organic Week cum 4th World Organic Youth Summit. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Conrad K Sangma visited the stalls and interacted with farmers and entrepreneurs, highlighting the State’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
The session featured experience sharing by leading organic practitioners, addresses by eminent dignitaries, and the release of the Organic Compendium along with the launch of the MEGNOLIA website. These initiatives mark an important milestone in advancing sustainable farming practices, strengthening farmer welfare, and positioning Meghalaya as a model for organic development.
