The Meghalaya Natural & Organic Farming Society for Livelihood & Innovation in Agriculture is the State’s apex body driving organic transformation and climate-resilient agriculture.
As part of their visit to Meghalaya for the Organic Youth Summit and Northeast India Organic Week, international delegations trekked to the renowned Organic GI-tagged Khasi Mandarin orchards of Mawphu, located in the Shella area of East Khasi Hills district.
The programme included an orientation walk through the orchards, a local lunch, and cultural presentations by CM MGMP artists. Delegates interacted with farmers, observed on-ground practices, and gained a deeper understanding of Mawphu’s role in Meghalaya’s organic and GI-certified landscape.
