We participated in the Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2025, held on 30th–31st October 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, organized by the Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF) in collaboration with APEDA, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
At the event, we showcased Meghalaya’s rich collection of indigenous rice and paddy varieties, including the Khasi black sticky rice Pnah Iong and the Garo white sticky rice Minil.
We were also joined by @ChefNambieJessicaMarak, MasterChef India Season 8 1st Runner-up, who demonstrated her culinary artistry using Meghalaya’s specialty rices, and Mr. Keenan Marak, Founder of 7 United, who presented his unique rice beer made from Minil.
Here’s to celebrating our farmers, promoting our traditional grains, and taking the authentic flavours of Meghalaya to the world! 🌾✨
