Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, inaugurated Meghalaya’s first Aseptic Pulp Processing Unit at Jirang Organic Agro FPC, Ri-Bhoi, in the presence of Shri Sosthenes Sohtun, Hon’ble MLA, Smt. Saloni Verma, IAS, Shri Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, and other esteemed dignitaries.
Jirang FPC has grown from ₹1.5 lakh (2017–21) to ₹1.17 crore (2025) — a 77-fold increase. With an investment of ₹2.46 Cr, capacity of 10 MT/day (480–600 MT annually), and direct links to Lulu Group, Reliance, Mother Dairy–Safal, Blinkit & more, farmers now earn premium returns.
This milestone, supported by IFAD, FOCUS, MLAMP & CM FARM+, reflects the vision of Shri Conrad K. Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister, to transform agriculture through modern infrastructure, strong market linkages, and farmer empowerment.
